Permanent Dentition Trauma
Techniques and Expectations
Set 2
Dentil Volume 2
The rarity of dental trauma means that clinicians are often 'rusty' when presented with a bleeding, upset patient who has just sustained a dental injury. Nevertheless, patients expect their dental surgeon to be able to treat their injuries even if that dentist has not managed a trauma case in several months.
This series of cases proceeds from the Cvek pulpotomy, its indications and technique through to replantation of avulsed teeth and planning for failure. Emphasis is on treatment methods, prognosis and parent expectations. Research information is woven into the text so smoothly it doesn't even hurt. For more information see www.dentalspeakers.org.
This CD-ROM contains eight cases of trauma to permanent teeth, management techniques, prognostic expectations and information for parents.
Case 1: Cvek pulpotomy.
Case 2: Root fracture.
Case 3: Moderate intrusion.
Case 4: Severe intrusion.
Case 5: Extrusion.
Case 6: Lateral luxation.
Case 7: Avulsion/replantation.
